Who I Help

Adults and Older Teens

Many people struggle with anxiety, depression or the effects of a distressing or traumatic event. I help people gain insight into their thoughts, emotions and behaviors so they can better understand themselves and develop healthy strategies to deal with life’s challenges. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness are evidence-based practices that lead to meaningful transformation. We will work together to make peace with your past, greet your future with confidence and live your best life today.

You have the power to make a change and live your best life.

Athletes experience the same life challenges as everyone else with the additional pressures that go along with competitive sports: the demands of physical training and competition, travel and separation from family and friends, academic responsibilities for student-athletes, athletic identity and transitioning into or out of sport. I help athletes develop positive mental health and a strong sense of identity so they can feel their best in and out of competition. My work complements mental skills coaching that prepares athletes to reach peak performance in their sport.

Peak physical conditioning is reliant upon healthy mental functioning.

Athletic Organizations

An athlete’s mental health impacts physical functioning, sport performance and overall well-being. Positive mental health in athletes is achievable and sustainable when athletic organizations value mental health and resilience as much as physical health and performance. I approach organizational mental health from a public health, strength-based perspective that builds upon the existing talents of an organization. An organization can champion mental health and promote a culture of well-being while running a thriving, elite sports program.

Tending to mental health with the same vigor as physical health is the essence of well-being.
